Perinatal & Postpartum Support
Support through pregnancy, birth, and new parenthood.
The season around a baby is often described as joyful — and it can be — but it is also one of the largest transitions a person goes through, and it is common to struggle. Therapy offers steady, confidential support during pregnancy, after birth, and through the early years of parenting.

What this can look like
Worry during pregnancy that will not settle. A low mood after birth that is more than tiredness. Feeling disconnected from the baby, from a partner, or from yourself. Intrusive thoughts that frighten you. Grief after a pregnancy or infant loss, or anxiety in a pregnancy after loss. Strain in a relationship as roles change overnight. These are common, they are treatable, and they are not a reflection of how good a parent you are.

How therapy helps
Sessions are a protected hour that is about you. Your therapist helps you name what is happening, reduce the anxiety or low mood with practical, evidence-based tools, and make room for the mixed feelings that parenthood brings. Where it helps, partners can join, because the transition to parenthood changes the relationship too. We coordinate with your OB, midwife, pediatrician, or prescriber where you want us to.
