Individual Therapy
One-on-one therapy, shaped around you.
Individual therapy is a private, weekly conversation with a therapist who is on your side. It is where most people start, and where the work is most fully yours: your goals, your pace, your story.

Not sure which therapist is right for you?

What individual therapy can help with
People come to individual therapy for very different reasons: worry that will not quiet down, a low mood that has stayed too long, something in the past that still shapes the present, a change that has knocked them off balance, or simply the sense that life could be lived with more intention. You do not need a diagnosis, a crisis, or the right words to begin. If something is getting in the way of the life you want, that is reason enough.
What individual therapy can help with
How it works
Your first session is a conversation, not an assessment. Your therapist listens for what brought you in and what you want to be different, and together you set a direction. From there, sessions balance deeper exploration with practical tools you can use between meetings. Our therapists draw on evidence-based approaches and adapt them to you; no one method is applied to everyone. Because OnPoint is a team practice, Lina personally matches you with the therapist best suited to your needs, and if the fit is not right, we re-match you within the practice.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know which therapist is right for me?
Tell us a little about what you are looking for and Lina will suggest the therapist best suited to help, and explain why. You can also browse the team and ask for someone directly.
How long will I be in therapy?
There is no set length. Some people come for a few months around a specific goal; others stay longer as new layers surface. You and your therapist review progress together regularly.
Is individual therapy covered by insurance?
We work with most major plans, including Medicaid and TRICARE, and verify your benefits before your first session.
